EASTER 2025

There is something very special about the Feast of Easter this year, 2025. All Christians everywhere are observing Easter on the same date. This infrequent event reminds us that even the forces of Nature, the cycles of the Moon, and the dates of the calendar work together to bring us together. Easter is not only a religious Feast of great importance to Christians but a springtime holiday offering peace and hope to all peoples. We hope that the religions of the world will continue to seek to work together for the well-being of all and the dignity of the Earth, our common hope. Every Tradition offers hope to the world in the splendor of their teachings and the example of their followers. This is a time for people of faith and good will to stand together against any and all violence. Every feast that is special to a particular community reminds us of our duty and privilege to be of loving service to all.

As religious and spiritual persons we base our lives on an Ultimate Reality, and draw spiritual power and hope therefrom, in trust, in prayer or meditation, in word or silence. We have a special responsibility for the welfare of all humanity and care for the planet Earth. We do not consider ourselves better than other women and men, but we trust that the ancient wisdom of our religions can point the way for the future.
