On the Threshold of Hope
Year End Silent Retreat
December 28, 2023 – January 1`, 2024
The doors that open and close for us in our lives are not nearly as important as the person we are when we walk through them. Each year, as the door of the past closes, we have an opportunity to transform, nurture, and grow the qualities of the person we are becoming as we enter the door of a new year filled with potential and opportunity.
Join us for 5 days of silent reflection, prayer, meditation, and mindfulness to deepen and embrace your personal spiritual journey and path of a new year that awaits you.

BELIEF AS SPRINGBOARD
Jumping for Joy as Interspiritual Practice
Appealing to the wisdom found in humankind’s faith traditions, we will discover and celebrate the virtue of joy, by which we bless the world with peace and compassion. Interestingly enough, our beliefs might be the starting point rather than the obstacle to such an endeavor.
WORKSHOP
COPING WITH FUNDAMENTALISM
After surveying the dangers of a fundamentalist approach to reading and understanding sacred writings, we will explore how we might read and understand sacred writings as contributing to our quest for justice and peace. In fact, any important document or literary work has the potential to contribute to the quest for what is just, good, true, beautiful, and wonderful.
