Dear Friends,
Today is the seventh and last of our daily reflections for Interfaith Harmony Week. The Interfaith Peace Project has been pleased to offer you these reflections for each day of Interfaith Harmony Week, February 1-7, 2026. Our reflections for Interfaith Harmony Week were inspired by the work and life of our friend, Randy Thomas, who passed away on December 27, 2025. May he experience the Light and Peace he so generously shared with us. If you would like to view the previous reflections, you can find them on our blog at: interfaithpeaceproject.org.

Dear Beloved Community,
As Interfaith Harmony Week comes to a conclusion, we pause to thank the people of Minneapolis / St. Paul for standing in solidarity for the people of the United States as together we quest for the rights and dignity of all peoples everywhere.
It happens in every generation, especially in times of trouble, that people stand up for those whose rights are compromised and whose dignity is denied. The people of Minnesota have refused to accept tyranny and oppression as a way of life. They not only offer hope to the United States but also to people worldwide who struggle with authoritarianism and dictatorship.
We remember and commemorate the self-giving courage of Rene Good and Alex Pretti, who resisted the violence forced upon the citizens of Minneapolis and beyond. We caution those who would attempt to ruin their good names that justice, compassion, and hope will ultimately prevail. Their deaths give us hope and the fortitude to walk in their self-giving ways.
The people who march in the streets of the Twin Cities exemplify the nobility and importance of the Interfaith Communities worldwide. They represent interfaith love and witness at its best. People of every conviction are now standing together in the cause of what is right, good, true, and beautiful.
Now is the time to realize that interfaith love, understanding, respect, and cooperation are for the sake of those whose human rights are compromised by prejudice, fear, and animosity toward anyone who dares to be different.
It is not enough to thank the people of Minnesota; we must march with them for the sake of the worldwide interfaith community of humankind. We pray we might have their courage.
Finally, we think of Liam James Ramos, a five-year-old detained by the authorities in their ruthless pursuit of implementing hateful policies based on the politics of cruelty and revenge. Liam, along with the persecuted and oppressed children of the world, is the face of the global interfaith pursuit for that justice by which all peoples might live in peace. Bless and love the children. They are the presence and the voice of the Divine in our midst.
Blessings to you, Beloved community, for making every week a time of Interfaith Harmony. Gratitude to you for your personal commitment to love and cherish everyone you meet.
