The Book of Revelation (The Apocalypse) sets the standard for the liturgical praise of God as Cosmic event with Global implications.  In the midst of conflict and division, the Seer of Revelation experiences the peaceful dominion of God in a time of Imperial wrath.  Often feared for its violence and harsh imagery, the Book of Revelation is ultimately a Book of Comfort rallying the Community of Disciples to follow the Lamb whose death is our life.  We are called to stand for what is right and just in the midst of oppression and fear.  Revelation is our definitive invitation to the wedding of the Lamb who comes to marry us in the fullness of time.  This is a Book of Prayer, Praise, Comfort, and Vision.
