“To be truly radical is to make hope possible
rather than despair convincing.”
—Pamela Haines

Practice

Today I will practice hope in all the affairs of my life.

I will consciously and conscientiously
confront the temptation to despair.

The feeling of despair, should it arise,
will be my stepping stone to hope.

“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honour those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”
