Dear Friends,

Tomorrow is Earth Day. Earth Day must not simply be a yearly event. Every day is Earth Day. Every day invites us to live on Earth with a sense of gratitude and generosity. This year Karen Oliver shares her gift of poetry with us to honor the day.

Continuing to Honor
The International Day of Peace

Step forth

step forth   alone into the night
restless      wandering among the snails and morning doves
a light sprinkle  of stars map the universal backyard
time and light  traveling out beyond this little speck of dust
likewise we shine down   in some other distant sky
too small to see among the greater stars  taking center stage
an endless curtain call over terra firma
