The Interfaith Peace Project will observe this year’s International Day of Peace by sending out a reflection each day from September 10 through September 21. We will then continue our ongoing observance of the International Day by sending out a reflection on the twenty-first of every month. We invite you to share in this effort by sending any articles or information that you would like to share to:

CELEBRATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE
SEPTEMBER 10 – 21, 2022
This year The Interfaith Peace Project will observe The International Day of Peace by remembering eleven women who received the Nobel Peace Prize. Through their character, integrity, perseverance, and courage to overcome adversity, personal pain, suffering, and abuse, these courageous women are truly pioneers and ambassadors for peace in our World. Through their enduring efforts to raise consciousness and awareness of critical human issues of our day, they have opened new horizons and pathways for peace, freedom, equality, and justice. Their work is ongoing, evolving, and emerging. They provide an example and an opportunity for us to influence the World around us. Inspired by their courage, we commit ourselves to follow in their footstep in our own unique ways.
In honoring and remembering these women, we will present a brief historical profile of their lives, offer their words of wisdom, and provide further links where you can see and hear these remarkable women.
The International Day of Peace seeks to discover the reality of peace in our World and lives as we consciously practice peace in all the affairs of our lives. The Interfaith Peace Project observes every day as International Peace Day. We believe peace is dawning in our World even amidst violence, war, and conflict. May these reflections encourage you in your practice of peace, understanding, and compassion.
