The image and likeness of God is found in every human person from those who inspire to those who seriously fail. We are called by our very human nature to see in one another what we often cannot see in ourselves. In four brief reflections, we will probe the Scriptures from the vantage of the real people we meet in our lives. First, there is the poet in the street who speaks of beauty in the midst of decay and decline. Then the night time office cleaner who puts her child through medical school. The lovers who have the courage to be proud of their love for one another. And, finally, the people who know no borders and see everywhere as home. We are all called to claim our dignity, to find our voice, to stand up for what is good, true, just and beautiful.
