International Day of Peace Celebration in Word and Song
Father Tom Bonacci sharing the Keynote

“Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All”
Peace as the Practice of Respect for all Peoples
Peace as Providing a Safe Haven for all Peoples
Peace as Recognizing the Dignity of all Peoples
The title comes from the official theme for the September 21, 2017 International Day of Peace. I will offer three brief reflections framed by music so the entire assembly is part of this keynote. These reflections will offer practical responses to our highly chdred political climate so we may practice peace in such a way as to be a source of hope to those wounded by conflict and upheaval, uncertainty and injustice. It is important for us to emphase the positive nd constructive dimensions of peace and peace-making in times of conflict and division.
Come join others from the Interfaith community for a program with music, prayer and a keynote from Father Tom Bonacci as we celebrate the International Day of Peace together. Cosponsored by the Interfaith Council of CCC, Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center and the Interfaith Peace Project.
