Dear Friends,

The Interfaith Peace Project is pleased to offer you reflections for each day of Interfaith Harmony Week, February 1-7, 2022. Beginning tomorrow, this week of reflections is dedicated in remembrance of the love and wisdom shared with us by Rev. Andrea J. Goodman, Co-founder and President of The Interfaith Peace Project.

World Interfaith Harmony Week is an annual event observed during the first week of February. The General Assembly of the United Nations designated this week to point out that mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue constitute important dimensions of a culture of peace. The General Assembly established World Interfaith Harmony Week as a way to promote harmony between all people regardless of their faith.

Along with Andrea’s wisdom, we have included the wisdom of the Great Traditions of Humankind. The Great Traditions, in each of their own way, invite us to celebrate our interconnectedness with the Universe. We can experience this powerful relationship in all the affairs of daily life if we only take some time to reflect and ponder. We hope these reflections will inspire you in this time of uncertainty and pandemic. Take some time for yourself. Others will be blessed.

I would like to personally thank Randy Thomas for his thoughtful work of adding the reflections from the faith traditions of the World. I also thank Susan Batterton for her work in publishing these reflections.

Please feel free to share your insights and reflections with us as together we observe this most important week. We invite you to join with us in savoring Andrea’s wisdom as we courageously forge a new spiritual revolution in our time based on justice, peace, mutual respect, inclusiveness, and unbounded compassion for the Earth and all its inhabitants.

Peacefully,

Thomas P. Bonacci, C.P.
