The Passion and The Eucharistic Theology of Pope Francis
Matthew 26: 17-30

Pope Francis reminds us the beauty of our Liturgy is to be found in Jesus not in the cultural trappings of history no matter how endearing they might be.  The Bishop, when consecrating the Altar prays, “Here may the victims of oppression find true freedom.”  The Sanctuary, like the table of the Lord must be open to all in need of compassion, love, and transformation.  We will ponder the teachings of Pope Francis in light of his letter on the Liturgy, the Church’s Tradition, and the Biblical witness.
