The Early Cristian Communities where as rich with creativity as they were divided over the “authentic” teachings of Jesus which they believed were handed on to them through the Apostles.  The Canonical and extra-canonical Gospels all claimed the Apostolic Authority.  Our four part series will explore some of these writings with special attention given to one of the most important Apostles of all, Mary Magdalene, whose person and mission is rather constant in the diverse literature of the Early Christian Communities.
