Our Lenten Day of Prayer and Reflection finds its inspiration in God’s mercy as experienced in the person, life, and work of Jesus. As the human face of God’s mercy, Jesus reveals by his example how we, as disciples, ought to live even in a World of conflict and division. Simply the mercy we receive from God in Christ is the mercy we offer to everyone we meet. As we Bless the Ashes, open the Scripture, walk in the Way of the Cross, and offer the Eucharist, we pray to God that this Lent will find us rededicating ourselves to following Jesus in all we say and do.
